Attachment A <br />C. Maintain an interest in and an understanding of the city school system and promote the <br />greatest possible utilization of school and municipal recreation programs. <br />D. Endeavor to secure a full and complete understanding of the city's needs and desires for <br />parks and recreational facilities and be sensitive to the acceptance within the community of <br />the current program. <br />E. Convey to the City Council their understanding of the community's sentiment regarding <br />recreation and parks and to submit recommendations to the City Council on parks and <br />recreation programs and policy. <br />F. Review conditions and adequacy of city park property. <br />G. Provide hearings to groups or individuals, upon request, regarding parks and recreation <br />matters. <br />H. Keep informed and consider all financial aspects pertaining to parks and recreation. <br />L Consider proper names for city park property. <br />J. Propose regulations for control of city park property to the City Council. <br />K. Advise and assist architectural engineers on preparation of specific plans prior to the <br />presentation to the City Council for formal approval. <br />L. Represent the city at community functions where appropriate and approved by the City <br />Council. <br />M. Represent the city at meetings with other community, county or state boards of similar <br />nature where appropriate and approved by the City Council. <br />N. Perform other duties and functions or conduct studies and investigations as specifically <br />directed or delegated by the City CounciL (Ord. 1038, 6-27-1988) <br />O. Shall act in all matters relating to the Urban Forest Management Ordinance contained in <br />Chapter 706 of this code, and shall act as the Tree Board as set forth in section 706.03 of this <br />code. <br />(Ord. 1410, 6-13 -2011) <br />203.05: COMPENSATION: <br />No compensation shall be paid to members of the commission; however, commission members <br />may have expenses paid to attend conferences on parks and recreation that are offered in the state <br />when approved by the city manager. (Ord. 1038, 6-27-1988; amd. 1995 Code) <br />203.06: JOINT MEETING WITH CITY COUNCIL: <br />The commission shall request a joint meeting with the City Council when deemed necessary and <br />at least a minimum of once a year. (Ord. 1038, 6-27-1988) <br />203.07: RULES: <br />The commission may adopt such rules as it deems necessary for the conduct of its work, <br />compatible with the provisions of this chapter.
