<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting ofthe City Council ofthe City of <br />Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was held on the 14th day of June, 2004, at 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Schroeder, Maschka, Thlan, Kough, Klausing <br />and the following were absent: None <br /> <br />Council Member Maschka introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 10225 <br />A RESOLUTION DENYING A VARIANCE TO SECTION 1004.016 OF THE <br />ROSEVILLE CITY CODE AND DENIAL OF A MINOR SUBDIVISION FOR <br />PROPERTY LOCATED AT 2485 PASCAL STREET (PF3571). <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Edward Trudeau has requested multiple variance to Section 1004.016 <br />(Residential Dimensional Requirements) of the Roseville City Code and a Minor Subdivision to <br />allow the creation of two substandard residential parcels at 2485 Pascal Street; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Trudeau specifically seeks a lot depth and lot size variance for tow <br />parcels of land he would create form his existing double frontage lot; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Roseville Planning Commission held the public hearing regarding the <br />Trudeau Variance and Minor Subdivision request on June 2, 2004, and recommended (4-0) <br />denial of the request. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Roseville City Council, to deny Mr <br />Trudeau's Variance and Minor Subdivision request based on the following findings: <br /> <br />1. No hardship can be concluded to necessitate the granting of a variance. <br /> <br />2. The proposed parcel design creates two substandard residential parcels. <br /> <br />3. The proposed design is out of character with other parcels directly adjacent to the <br />subject site. <br /> <br />4. The proposed design, due to its limited area for a house footprint, may require <br />future variances. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council <br />Member Thlan and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor: Schroeder, <br />Maschka, Thlan, Klausing <br />and the following voted against: Kough <br /> <br />WHEREUPON said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br /> <br />1 <br />
