<br />If a Police Officer or community service Officer deems it <br />necessary, the officer may take the animal immediately to the <br />impound to stop the nuisance. <br /> <br />145.035. Animals Forbidden in Hotels and Motels. No dog or <br />cat or other animal shall be allowed in any hotel or motel <br />overnight in the sleeping rooms designed for human habitation. <br />This section does not apply to guide dogs accompanying a blind <br />person. <br /> <br />145.040. License Required. The owner of all dogs or cats <br />over three (3) months of age and kept or maintained within the <br />corporate limits of the City of Roseville shall apply for a dog <br />or cat license. The license application shall be on forms <br />provided by the city. The applicant shall also present proof of <br />rabies vaccination to the City prior to issuance or renewal of a <br />license. The license shall be issued for a period of time not to <br />exceed the expiration date of a 2 year rabies vaccination. <br /> <br />This section shall also apply to any other type of animal not <br />kept exclusively inside the owner's house. <br /> <br />The fee for a license shall be $5.00 <br /> <br />145.050. Issuance of Taqs. Upon the payment of the license <br />fee and presentation of a rabies vaccination certificate, the <br />City shall issue a license tag to the animal owner. Duplicate <br />tags will be issued upon payment of a replacement fee. Animal <br />tags shall not be transferred from one animal to another. The <br />animal tags for impounded animals may be purchased at the <br />veterinary hospital for a $2.00 surcharge, and no refunds shall <br />be made for any animal license fee. <br /> <br />145.060. Affixing Tags. Every owner of any animal required <br />to be licensed is required to provide the animal with a collar to <br />which the license and vaccination tags must be affixed, and the <br />collar, with tags attached, must be worn by such animal at all <br />times. <br /> <br />145.065. Records. The City shall keep a <br />animal licenses issued with the name, address, <br />number of the person to whom issued and name, age, <br />the animal, and dates of rabies vaccination. <br /> <br />record of all <br />and telephone <br />description of <br /> <br />145.070. Impoundinq. Any dog or cat found running at <br />large or without valid tags displayed, off the owner's premises, <br />may be seized and may be impounded. All animals found to be a <br />nuisance under section 145.030 may be impounded. All animals <br />impounded shall be kept for at least five days, unless <br />sooner reclaimed by the owner or returned to the owner. <br />
