<br />The animal shall not be released from impound until it has <br />been inspected by a representative of the City. Except for the <br />time limits, disposition and redemption shall be in accordance <br />with Section 145.080 and 145.090. Failure to maintain quarantine <br />at the specified location in accordance with this section shall <br />be misdemeanor. <br /> <br />If the animal is quarantined at the owner's residence and the <br />animal is killed, dies, escapes, or becomes sick, the owner or <br />custodian must notify the Police Department. If the animal <br />quarantined shows clinical signs suggestive of rabies, the animal <br />may be killed for rabies examination. <br /> <br />145.123. Attack ~ An Animal. It shall be unlawful for an <br />owner to fail to restrain an animal from inflicting or <br />attempting to inflict bodily injury to any person or other animal <br />whether or not the owner is present. <br /> <br />145.125 Summary Destruction Of certain Animals. <br />Whenever an officer has reasonable cause to believe that a <br />particular animal presents a clear and immediate danger to <br />residents of the City because it is infected with rabies or <br />because of a clearly demonstrated vicious nature, the officer, <br />after making reasonable attempts to impound such animal, may <br />summarily destroy said animal. <br /> <br />145.130. Kennels. No person shall maintain a kennel, <br />(more than two dogs over 3 months of age), as defined in Section <br />5.180, without first securing a licensed, therefore pursuant to <br />Chapter 100. This fee shall be in addition to the license fee <br />prescribed in preceding sections for each dog kept in such a <br />kennel. Kennel restriction shall not apply to veterinary <br />hospitals licensed under Chapter 127. <br /> <br />145.135. Special Multiple Dog Licenses. Upon issuance of <br />a special multiple dog licenses, three (3) or four (4) dogs over <br />three (3) months of age may be kept at a licensed premises upon <br />compliance with the following: <br /> <br />A. The filing of written approval of the occupants of <br />residential property abutting the licensed premises. <br /> <br />B. The yard of the licensed premises is fenced in such a <br />manner as to restrain dogs on the premises from leaving <br />the yard. <br /> <br />C. Dogs kept on the licensed premises do not create a <br />nuisance by excessive barking, or by creating unsanitary <br />conditions. <br /> <br />D. Payment of a yearly license fee pursuant to Section <br />100.030, Paragraph 49 of the Code. <br />
