<br />CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1079 <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 119 OF THE CITY CODE OF THE <br />CITY OF ROSEVILLE PERTAINING TO LAWFUL GAMBLING. <br /> <br />CHAPTER 119 OF THE CITY CODE OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE IS <br />AMENDED TO READ AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />I. <br /> <br />119. LAWFUL GAMBLING. <br /> <br />Section 119.010. <br /> <br />Lawful gambling permitted. <br /> <br />1. Lawful gambling as defined in Minn. Stat. §349.l2, <br />Subd. 2, is permitted in the City if the organization <br />conducting such gambling meets the following criteria: <br /> <br />A. Is licensed by the Minnesota Gambling Control <br />Board; <br /> <br />B. Is a tax exempt organization pursuant to §50l(c) <br />of the Internal Revenue Code or has a §50l(c) <br />application pending with the Internal Revenue <br />Service; <br /> <br />C. Maintains an address within the City; <br /> <br />D. Has been in existence as a union non-profit <br />corporation or as a §50l(c) tax exempt organiza- <br />tion at least three (3) consecutive years prior to <br />the date it begins its gambling operations; and <br /> <br />E. Complies with all of the provisions of this ordi- <br />nance. <br /> <br />2. Organizations which lawfully conducted gambling in the <br />City before the effective date of this ordinance which <br />meet the requirements of Paragraph 1, above, except did <br />not maintain an address in the City prior to the effec- <br />tive date of this ordinance may continue to conduct <br />such gambling notwithstanding the fact that the organi- <br />zation does not maintain an address within the City. <br /> <br />3. The maximum number of locations where lawful gambling <br />may be conducted within the City is ten (10). No <br />organization may conduct lawful gambling at more than <br />three (3) locations within the City. <br />
