Roseville Public Works, Environment and Transportation Commission Agenda Item Date: August 25, 2015 Item Description: Communication Items Item No: 4 Projects update: • Victoria Street Reconstruction and Sidewalk Project • Retaining walls have all been installed. • Existing bituminous surface was milled and the first lift of bituminous was paved on August 14. • Scheduled to construct sidewalk and bituminous pathway starting August 20. • Work has begun on sidewalk work north of County Rd B. • Ramsey County will now be doing a mill and overlay north of County B next year to accommodate sidewalk work. • Project still scheduled to be completed by October. Pavement Maintenance Program • New water main on the West Snelling service drive north of Roselawn Ave. will begin on August 20. • Scheduled to mill and overlay Wheeler St., Herschel St., Aldine St. and Charlotte St. starting the week of August 24. • Contractor will begin storm sewer work on Chatsworth St and Millwood Ave. starting the week of August 24. • Contractor has begun preparing for temporary water on Draper Ave. and Shryer Ave. The water main on this street is planned to be replaced starting September 8. • Work on Roselawn Avenue will take place starting September 14. • Lift Station Replacements • The Wagner lift station work is scheduled to begin August 25. Work is expected to take two weeks. • Twin Lakes Parkway • Council approved plans and specifications and authorized bidding at the August 10 meeting. The plan is to open bids in September. • 35W & Cleveland Interchange • Opened bids on August 4a'. Six bids were received with the low bid $1,598,448 from Forest Lake Contracting which was 13.3% under estimate. This item is on the City Council agenda on August 24 to consider awarding the bid. • Water Meter Replacement Project: • Ferguson is continuing to replace meters in the northeast section of the City (Area 2). They have completed 1,995 out of 2,487 in this section.
