EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE * * * * * * * Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was duly held on the 24th day of August, 2015, at 6:00 p.m. The following members were present: Laliberte, McGehee, Willmus, Etten, Roe; and the following members were absent: None. Councilmember Willmus introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 11244 RESOLUTION REQUESTING RAMSEY COUNTY TO REQUEST A SPEED STUDY ON CLEVELAND AVENUE FROM LARPENTEUR AVENUE TO COUNTY ROAD B BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Roseville, as follows: WHEREAS, Cleveland Avenue is a Ramsey County facility designated as County State Aid Highway 46 in the City of Roseville from Larpenteur Avenue to County Road B; and WHEREAS,the City Council has received several requests for a lower speed limit on Cleveland Ave south of County Road B; and WHEREAS, the MnDOT Commissioner sets speed limits based upon an engineering study and traffic investigation; and WHEREAS, MnDOT requires a resolution by the road authority requesting a speed study; and WHEREAS, the appropriate speed limit for Cleveland Avenue from Larpenteur Avenue to County Road B to needs to be determined by a MnDOT speed study. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Roseville requests Ramsey County request a speed study to determine the appropriate speed limit on Cleveland Avenue from Larpenteur Avenue to County Road B. The motion was duly seconded by Councilmember Etten and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Laliberte, McGehee, Willmus, Etten, Roe; and the following voted against: None. WHEREUPON said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
