<br />CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1129 <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE DECLARING A MORATORIUM ON THE <br />CONSIDERATION OF ALL APPLICATIONS FOR VARIANCES TO THE <br />SHORELAND MANAGEMENT REGULATIONS AND FOR BUILDING <br />PERMITS TO CONSTRUCT ANY STRUCTURE OR DECK WITHIN 75 FEET <br />OF THE NORMAL HIGH WATER LINE OF ANY PUBLIC WATER ON <br />SHORELANDS AS DEFINED IN ROSEVILLE CITY CODE, CHAPTER 18. <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Roseville does hereby ordain: <br /> <br />I. <br /> <br />Whereas, the City of Roseville is required to review and amend its shoreland <br />management ordinance to be in compliance with the Minnesota Department of <br />Natural Resources shoreline regulations; and <br /> <br />II. <br /> <br />Whereas, the City of Rosevil1e is conducting studies to review and amend <br />its Comprehensive Plan and ordinances including its shoreland management <br />regulations; and <br /> <br />III. <br /> <br />Whereas, the City Council has detennined there must be a moratorium on the <br />considerations of al1 applications for variances to the shoreland management <br />regulations and for building permits to construct any structure or deck within 75 <br />feet of the normal high water line of any public water during the period that the <br />Shoreland Management regulations ordinance is under review. <br /> <br />Therefore, the City Council ordains that commencing on the date of <br />publication of this ordinance and extending until June 1, 1994, a moratorium shal1 <br />exist on all applications for variances to the shoreland management regulations and <br />for building permits to construct any structure or deck within 75 feet of the nonnal <br />high water line of any public water as required by Chapter 18 of the City Code <br />regulating shorelands within the City. The City Council may, at its sole discretion, <br />
