Department Approval <br />Item Description: <br />BACKGROUND <br />��� <br />� <br />REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION <br />Date: October 5, 2015 <br />Item No.: 6.b <br />City Manager Approval <br />Recognize Human Rights Commission Award Recipients <br />The Human Rights Commission (HRC) created a recognition program this year that provides our <br />community the opportunity to nominate individuals, groups and organizations for meritorious <br />service in the pursuit and advocacy of human rights. Nominees must have performed services on <br />behalf of Roseville residents or for Roseville residents. <br />The HRC received three nominations and a sub-committee was formed to review the nominees. <br />The HRC determined that ranking each nominee this year was unnecessary and all three were <br />worthy of recognition. <br />HRC Award Recipients this year include: <br />- Kelly Tennison <br />- Valerie Swenson <br />-Roseville Area Middle School Theater Production Team <br />BUDGET IMPLICATIONS <br />No budget impact. <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends recognizing each of the Human Rights Commission Award recipients. <br />REQUESTED COUNCIL ACTION <br />Recognize each of the Human Rights Commission Award recipients. <br />Prepared by: Kari Collins, Assistant to the City Manager/City Clerk <br />Attachments: A: Nominations <br />Page 1 of 1 <br />
