<br />CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1136 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE, MINNESOTA, <br />AMENDING CHAPTER 201, SECTION 201.010 OF THE CITY CODE BY <br />ADDING NEW LANGUAGE REGARDING GROWTH OF WEEDS, <br />GRASSES, <br />OR OTHER RANK VEGETATION. <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Roseville ordains: <br /> <br />Section 1. Purpose of Ordinance. The purpose of this ordinance is to <br />clarify the height and location of noxious and nuisance weeds, tall grasses, and <br />other rank vegetative growth. <br /> <br />Section 2. Section 201.040 of Chapter 201 of the City Code is hereby <br />amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />201.040. Weeds. <br /> <br />All noxious weeds are prohibited. Tall grasses, nuisance weeds, and rank <br />vegetative growth shall be maintained at a height of eight (8) inches in height or <br />less, in locations closer than forty (40) feet to: <br /> <br />1. an occupied principle stmcture <br /> <br />2. any property line with an occupied stmcture on abutting property <br /> <br />3. a public road pavement edge <br /> <br />This section shall not apply to: natural areas such as woods, bogs, marshes, <br />ground covers, wildflower or prairie restoration, and public open space or park <br />lands, as detennined by the City Forester or naturalist designated by City <br />Manager. <br /> <br />Section 3. Filing. The City Manager shall file a copy of this ordinance <br />in the Manager's office, which copy shall be available for inspection by any <br />persons during regular office hours. <br />
