<br />CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1152 <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CITY CODE SECTION 163, <br />PROHIBITING OPEN BURNING IN THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Roseville, Minnesota, does hereby ordain: <br /> <br />Section 163.020-163.040 of the City Code is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />A. Except as provided in Section B, all open burning is prohibited in the City <br />of Roseville. <br /> <br />B. Recreational camp fires, fires for the purpose ofbonified fire department <br />training, as approved by the Fire Chief, and open burning of trees <br />resulting fÌom extensive stonn damage, at a central collection site, when <br />approved by the City Council. The following requirements shall apply <br />to all recreational fires: <br /> <br />I. The minimum distance to a structure or property line shall be 25 <br />feet. <br />2. The maximum pennitted size shall be 3 feet in diameter. <br />3. The pennitted fuels - charcoal or I" minimum diameter wood, no <br />trash or garden residue. <br />4. The maximwn duration shall be 4 hours. <br />5. No combustible materials shall be placed within 3 foot radius of <br />fire. <br />6. The fire shall be constantly attended by a responsible adult. <br />7. A means of extinguishing the fire shall be present (such as a garden <br />hose or a fire extinguisher). <br />8. Recreational fires shall be used for cooking, social, or recreational <br />purposes. Disposing of trash, debris, grass, tree trimmings, or <br />similar materials shall not be allowed. <br />
