SCHEDULE 1.1 <br />SERVICES <br />Regions shall assign the following individuals to serve as the Medical Director and Assistant <br />Medical Directors: <br />Regions, through the Regions EMS Program, sball provide the following services: <br />. <br />Medical Direction <br />1 Prescribe patient care guidelines under which the provider's EMS personnel treat, based on <br />communit standards and sound medical ractice. Re ularl reviewed and u dated as necessar . <br />2 Review and approve in writing all BLS patient care guidelines that will be used by EMS <br />ersonnel delivering atient care, including BLS skills variances. <br />3 Establish, participate in, and ensure the continuing implementation of a quality assurance <br />ro ram as art of a atient care im rovement rocess. <br />4 Maintain liaison with the medical community, including hospitals, emergency departments, <br />urgent care clinics, hysicians, nurses, and other healthcare roviders. <br />5 Maintain liaison with Chief Officer Staff throu h re ular communication. <br />6 Work with regional, state and local EMS authorities to ensure that standards, needs and <br />re uirements are met and resource utilization is o timized. <br />7 Approve, direct, and assist in providing training activities that assure EMS personnel are <br />com etent to rovide safe and efficient atient care, includin BLS skills verification <br />8 Maintain awareness of disaster re aredness activities within the Metro Re ion. <br />9 Provide a cooperative partnership on supply chain management and purchasing of inedical <br />supplies and pharmaceuticals <br />Continuin Medical Education — EMT Modular Refresher <br />1 Provide 12 hours/year of EMT refresher curriculum to cover required MN EMT Refresher <br />material. <br />2 Provide a 25% discount from standard Regions EMS rate based on Roseville FD providing <br />instructors for materials <br />3 Provide Regions EMS instructor updates each quarter to be attended by at least one member of <br />the Roseville Fire De artment <br />4 Provide one biannual skills evaluation cooperatively instructed by Regions EMS and Roseville <br />FD instructors with medical director oversi ht <br />5 Provide 24 hours of content every two years above and beyond required MN EMT Refresher to <br />include content developed by Regions EMS in consultation with Roseville Fire Department <br />Material will be created b Re ions EMS for instruction b Roseville Fire staff <br />6 Provide Regions EMS instructors to assist in instruction at additional cost if so desired by the <br />Roseville Fire De artment. <br />7 Regions EMS will worlc with the City to provide additional EMS Certification Courses and EMS <br />services upon request. <br />1032762-6 <br />
