<br />CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1165 <br /> <br />~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1009.03 E OF THE CITY CODE OF THE CITY <br />OF ROSEVILLE RELATING TO POLITICAL SIGNS. <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Roseville, Minnesota, does hereby ordain: <br /> <br />I. <br /> <br />Section 1009.03 E. of the City Code of the City of Roseville is hereby amended to <br />read as follows: <br /> <br />1009.03: GENERAL PROVISIONS: <br /> <br />E. Political Signs: <br /> <br />1. In years when a State General Election is held, political signs may be <br />posted from August 1 until ten (10) days following the State General <br />Election. Any such signs must be removed by those responsible for <br />their being posted. <br /> <br />2. In years when no State General Election is held, if there is a Primary <br />for any office, political signs for all offices may be posted no more <br />than twenty-one (21) days before the Primary Election. When there <br />is no Primary for any office, such signs may be posted not more than <br />twenty-one (21) days before the General Election. All such signs <br />must be removed by those responsible for their being posted within <br />five (5) days following the General Election. Said political signs shall <br />not exceed twelve (12) square feet gross area. <br /> <br />3. Political signs shall be set back at least fifteen (15) feet from the <br />outside edge of any street or back of curb of all City and County <br />streets. <br /> <br />4. Political signs shall not be placed so as to cause a hazard to public <br />safety. <br /> <br />5. Political signs shall not be placed on any property without permission <br />of the property owner. <br />
