<br />Ordinance Number 1174 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CITY CODE SECTION 1010.15 (FOR USE OF <br />REGISTERED PLANS/REVIEWS) ESTABLISHING CRITERIA <br />FOR LANDSCAPE PLANS <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Roseville does ordain: <br /> <br />I. <br /> <br />Purpose. The purpose of this ordinance is to assure that professional landscape plans <br />are prepared for certain new or renovated buildings by landscape architects licensed to <br />practice in the State of Minnesota. <br /> <br />II. <br /> <br />City Code Section 1010.15 is hereby amended as follows: <br /> <br />1010.15 PLANS; REVIEW: <br /> <br />A. All site plans, grading and utility plans, landscape plans, building plans and <br />surveys shall be prepared for review by the City staff and shall be prepared by <br />the appropriate professional personnel as licensed by the State of Minnesota <br />and landscape architects or others as approved by the Community Development <br />Director. <br /> <br />B. A landscape plan shall be required for all new commercial, industrial, multiple <br />residential, public, and institutional developments prior to approval. For <br />developments having a construction value in excess of $500,000 dollars, the <br />landscape plan shall be prepared by a landscape architect registered and <br />licensed in the State of Minnesota or others approved by the Community <br />Development Director. To the maximum extent feasible, this plan shall <br />incorporate any existing vegetative features on the site; to the extent that the <br />value of preserved vegetation can be demonstrated, a credit to the minimum <br />improvements may be allowed. Said landscape plan shall include size, location, <br />quantity and species of all plant materials and the method of maintenance. <br /> <br />c. R-I and R-2 dwelling plans need not be required to be prepared by a registered <br />architect, engineer, or landscape architect except in cases where unusual <br />structural, safety, or erosion issues are present as determined by the Community <br />Development Director. <br /> <br />J : \char\ wp\resol uti\landscape. ord <br />
