Department ApprovalExecutive Director Approval Item Description:Resolution accepting transfer of RHRA Projects and Programs B ACKGROUND 1 At their November 30, 2015, meeting, the City Council established the Roseville Economic 2 Development Authority (REDA) by adopting Resolution No. 11277 and authorized the transfer 3 of the Roseville Housing Redevelopment Authority (RHRA) functions, assets andobligations to 4 the REDA with Resolution No. 11278. 5 On January 4, 2016, the RHRA is scheduled to meet and it is anticipated the RHRA will 6 authorize the transfer of the RHRA’s functions, assets, and obligations to the REDA. Assuming 7 this occurs, it is required that the REDA formally accept the transfer. 8 9 The next step in the process is for the REDA to adopt a resolution assuming all of the duties and 10 responsibilities of the RHRA in connection with all of the contracts, programs and projects. 11 12 PO OLICY BJECTIVE 13 These actions are in accordance with the City Council’s policy directions on November 30, 2015. 14 BI UDGET MPLICATIONS 15 Staff and legal services have been necessary toestablish the REDA and transfer of the RHRA 16 functions, assets, and obligations. 17 SR TAFF ECOMMENDATION 18 Formally take action acceptingthe transfer of the RHRA functions, assets, and obligations to the 19 REDA with adoption of Resolution No. 1. 20 SRHRAA UGGESTED CTION 21 Offer a motion to approve or deny Resolution No. 1(Attachment A) accepting the transfer of the 22 RHRA Projects and Programs to the REDA. 23 24 Prepared by: Jeanne Kelsey, 651-792-7086 Attachments:A: Resolutionaccepting transferHRA Projects and Programs Page 1of 1
