BackQround 1.01. On April 28, 1997, the City Council passed Ordinance No. 1181, prohibiting the development and issuance of any permits for any business or multi-family use in des- Ignated areas of the City and directed the Planning Commission to commence studies on the affect of additional business and mul- ti-family uses within the area of the City described as follows: The North Half of the Northeast Quarter of Section 9, Township 29, Range 23; and all that part of Section 4, Township 29, Range 23 bounded by County Road C to the North, Fairvlew Avenue to the West, and by the East line of said Section 4, Township 29, Range 23 on the East. 1.02. The studies are completed, howev- er additional time is necessary to review the studies and determine what, if any, amend- ments to the City's Comprehensive Plan or local zoning controls will be made as a result of the studies. Section 2. Prohibition The prohibitions set forth of Section 2 of Ordinance No. 1181 are hereby extended to April 28, 1998. Section 3. Enforcement. The City may enforce an provision of this ordinance by mandamus, injunction, or any other appropriate civil remedy in any court of competent jurisdiction. Section 4. Effective Date.
