Continuation of Sewer and Water Private Services Discussion <br />458 As a follow-up to previous service line warranty program discussions, Mr. Culver <br />459 provided historical information and references he'd pursued from other <br />460 communities using this service; with all providing positive reviewed with the <br />461 exception of one. <br />462 4L <br />463 Mr. Culver introduced Ms. Shiwarsk Utility Service Partners in Pittsburgh, <br />464 PA, for a short presentati to the PW and available to answer any questions <br />465 of the PWETC afterwar III <br />466 <br />467 Ashley Shiwarski, Inside Sales Manager with Utility Service Partners, Inc., <br />468 administrator of the service line warranty program through the National <br />469 League of Cities <br />470 Ms. Shiwarski provided more detailed information than available in tonight's <br />471 agenda packet as a bench handout, attached hereto and made a part hereof. <br />472 <br />473 Ms. Shiwarski reviewed their program, including the educational aspects; typical <br />474 listing by cities of available plumbers to perform work as needed through their <br />475 firm's own research or by allowing the city to be as involved as they chose to be; <br />476 and the three separate programs offered to customers by their firm: external water <br />477 lines, external sewer lines, and internal plumbing. <br />478 <br />479 Specific to Roseville with residents responsible for maintenance of their laterals up <br />480 to the city main, as part of their premium, Ms. Shiwarski noted that Roseville <br />481 residents would receive up to $4,000 per repair incident, with no annual, calendar, <br />482 or lifetime limits, a separation between their firm and others offering this service. <br />483 Ms. Shiwarski noted there was also up to $4,000 available toward each public street <br />484 repair and $500 for each sidewalk repair incident, with no deductibles or service <br />485 fees. <br />486 <br />487 At the request of Chari Stenlund, Ms. Shiwarski advised that their firm based their <br />488 premiums on a standard across the United States, with 90% of their claims falling <br />489 within that range cap of $4,000.
