In addition, proposers are encouraged to specify other public <br />education tools that they will provide (e.g., recycling education <br />materials targeted for a specific neighborhood, targeting a specific <br />material type, etc.). <br />As part of this proposal, proposers shall provide examples of <br />public education materials they have developed for other <br />municipalities. <br />6.06. Citv Shall Approve Contractor's Public Education Literature <br />The Contractor shall submit a draft of any public education literature <br />for approval by the City, at least one month before printing and <br />release of any such literature. <br />6.07. Annual Work Plan <br />The City and the Contractor shall develop a work plan annually. The <br />work plan shall include initiatives the City and the Contractor will <br />undertake to improve the City's recycling program. These initiatives <br />may include (but is not limited to) expansion of materials collected, <br />voluntary expansion to businesses, effective education of residents - <br />with measurement, community involvement, outreach to low <br />participating communities, and outreach using electronic <br />communications. The Plan shall be approved by the City and the <br />Contractor by December 15 of the preceding year. (see also Sections <br />6.08 and 6.09) <br />6.08. Outreach to Low Participating Communities <br />Contractor shall include in the annual work plan specific descriptions <br />of engagement efforts to low participating communities. Specifically <br />the City seeks to engage immigrant communities. Contractor's prior <br />experience with outreach such as this should be identified in the <br />Value Added Plan. <br />6.09. Outreach Using Electronic Communications <br />Contractor shall identify in the annual work plan engagement efforts <br />using electronic communications. The City seeks to engage residents <br />where they are and is looking for electronic outreach to residents in <br />addition to websites with information in text format. Contractor's <br />prior experience with outreach such as this should be identified in the <br />Value Added Plan. <br />27 <br />
