The Work inaludes construction of manhole <br />and aateh basin struetures and other related items as apeaified. <br />All referenae� to MnDOT Speaifiaation� shall mean the lateat published <br />edition of the Minnesota Department of Tr�nsportation Standard <br />Speaifications for Highway Con�truation, as madified by any <br />Supplemental Speaifieation edition published prior to the date of <br />adverti9ement for bids. All referenaes ta other Speeifioatian9 of <br />AASHTO, ASTM, ANSI, AWWA, ete. shall mean the latest published edition <br />available on the date of advertisement for bids. <br />502.0 Materials <br />� <br />�� <br />502.2 <br />All materials required for this Work ahall be neW material conforming <br />to requirements of the referenced speoifications for the elass, k�.nd, <br />type, size, grade, and other details indicat�d in the Contraot. Unless <br />otherwise indicated, all required materials shall be furnished by the <br />Contractor. If any options are provided for, as to tiype, grade, or <br />design of the material, the choiae shall be�limited as may be <br />stipulated in the Plans or SpeQial Conditions. <br />All manufactured produats shall conform in detail to such standard <br />design draWings as may be referenaed or furnishsd in the Plans. <br />OtherWise, the Departmeut may require advanae approval of mat�erial <br />suppllers, produot design, or other unapeaified details as it deems <br />desirable for mai,ntaining adopted standards. <br />Pine . <br />All pipe furnished for main seaer and service line installations shall <br />be of the type, kind� size, and class indicated for each garticular <br />line segment as shoWn in the Plans and designated ih the ContraeG <br />I�ems. WherevQr aonneetion of dissimilar materials or des�.gns is <br />required, the method of joining and any speQial fittings employed shal� <br />be subjeat to approval by the Engineer. , <br />Reinforced eonocete pipe aill be used unless otherwise ahorm shall meet <br />the requ�.rements of A.S.T.M. Speoifiaations C-7b. The Class oP pipe <br />shall be aa shown on the plans. <br />Jo�.nts <br />Pipe jaints shall meet the requirements of A,S.T.M. Specification C-361; <br />Bureau of Rsc].amation, Type R-4. Joints b�tween seations in oanholes <br />and catch basins shall be cement mortar. Precast manhole joint <br />material shall be of an approved gasket. <br />� <br />
