CASE NO: 391-67
APPLICANT: Raymond Wewers

LOCATION: Grandview ,►venue west o Rice Street (see sketchi
ACTION REQUESi'ED: Permission ta ei,ate dwelling unit
PLANNING C4NSIDERATIONS:
1. The applicant proposes tc move his place of residence from 2355 North Rice Street
to 193 West Grandview Avenue. These loations are shown on the sketch at the
(eft. The purpose of this move is the sle of a substantial proportion of land owned
by the applicant and other relatives to the Ban Con Corporation for the purpose of
re-platting and developing the area for single-fa:,ily anc! ther purposes. This
action necessitates, in the pplicant's opinion, the removol of tfiis house to the
new site on Grandview Avenue.
2. The building inspector has inspEted the dwelling in cuestion and nds it to meet
the code and compatible with existing developments in the area in question.
3. The proposed lot to which the structure is to be maved co ists of lots 16, !7, j8 and
19 of Block 1, Rice Sfireet-Grandview addition. These lats were originally iatted
at 40' with 120' of depth plus half of the vacated alley to ths rear. Thus the pro-
pased building site wruld meaure 11i0' x 130' o 20,800 square feet. Obviously,
#here is adeqvate land area to properly accommodate the stncture in question.
4. Thre rould thus appear to be no pairtiLvlar prablem in re{ocating the structure
in question, assuming reasonable develapment and ceformance to the ccde require-
rnents .
