The new Control Data 160 Computer is the most
versatile solid state computer in the low price
field. It has been designed specifically to combine
versatility, speed, and ease of programr*iing. The
result is a desk size computer which has capa-
bilities better than many large-scale computers in
use today. Its cost, however, is far less.
Though onl} desk size, the 160 is a powerful
all-transistorized computer. Its solid siate circuits
and magnetic core memory are like those used in
the Control Data 1604 Computer — one of the
newest, most advanced large-scale coniputers on
the market. Thus the 16p computes in terms o€
microseconds, and can execute 60,00 instructions
in une second. It handles data transmissions to wld
from input-output equiprrent at speeds of up to
160,000 characters per second.
Full advantage of the speed and versatility of
the 160 is realized through its repertoire of 62 in-
structions, its complete programming package, and
its large-scale provisions for an available line of
optional input-output equipment. You are invited
to make request for additional information.
