<br />galvaniz�d clips nr large head galvan-

<br />least 1 inch I�nger than the thickness

<br />shall be an insulating type c�mposed

<br />in the ratio of 4 cubic feet of perlite to

<br />Structolite, n premixed insulating grout
<br />material may be. used. All grouting ma-
<br />teria{s shou(d be mixed w�th sufficient
<br />wutcr to produce a pouring consistency.
<br />03. INSTALLATION: a. Roof plank ar
<br />roof �ile shalt be cut to Ht neatly at
<br />walls, parapets, curbs or other open-
<br />ings. Auxiliary framing shall be pro-
<br />vided to suppo�t the units arouncl
<br />projectia�s greater than 8 inches in
<br />diameter or ar��und openings greater
<br />than 8 inches in any dimcnsion.
<br />b. Roof ptank shall be iAi�i directly on
<br />�.irlins oc sub-purlins with square cut
<br />ends butted tighcly �:��d falling on center
<br />lines of suppurting members. The sup-
<br />portcd ends in ad�acent rows sh�ll be

<br />ing welciing. They shaU be welded at
<br />every paint of' crossing over supporting
<br />framing membcrs w�ith a'/a" long fillet
<br />wcld on aiternate sides of the flange.

<br />anci any �iefectivc roof plank or tile
<br />shall hc remuveJ and ceplaced, includ-
<br />ing all excess materials anei debris. Ex-
<br />cess grout.shall be rrmoved from the
<br />top surface of the finished work to
<br />provide a clean �ieck free from defects
<br />readv to receive the built-up rcx�fing.
<br />O4, PROI rCTION FROAA A`USE:
<br />c�. Adequate care shall he taker� in
<br />handling ynd storing �ll roof deck ma�
<br />terials to insure protection from dam-
<br />aged edges, soiled exposed surfaces and
<br />puncturing the felt membrane. A]t units
<br />in tr.insit an�i in storage shail be
<br />thoroughly protected from the weather
<br />until laid.
<br />b, All deck laid in a day shall be made
<br />wat�rtight at the completion of the
<br />day's work, hy applicatinn of the built-
<br />up �oofing, or, as a minimum, by
<br />stripping the joints t� makc thrm
<br />weathertight.
