Da�tans is very aaxious about the street alignment. They invested a considerable amoimt af money in purchasing the Reiling par cal (the rectangle with the na.me Sc�iivatt�o) to permit the perimeter street to stay as far north as possible. This northerly location is necessary to encompass as much parking as possible between the perimeter street anci the center. Dayton's feels t.�is is the only meaningful parking as far as servicing of the center praper itsalf is concerned. Actually, at th� initial stages o£ the Allied Stores planning for development of �iiis site � the street was to go right along the south property line of the praperty on Bruce Street. 'The sec�ion of County Rc�ad B-2 west of Fairview Avenie would proceed due west to Clevela�d Avenue or the frontage road on �iighw�y 35W. Ailied Stores felt it was tmeconomical to buy the }�eiling pares.l for the price that he was asking, therefore, the street was dstaured s�rouad this parcel. This is why the street location shown cro sosne, maps that have �otten v�ry limited circulation was further south than the pr�sent location. Daytons felt very strongly that they would pay alm�st any prir,e in order to encong�ass a more northerly location o£ the street to permi.t development of more parking contigtwus to the center proper.
