<br />Among the works on which
<br />the firm has beEn retained as
<br />Consulting Engineer are these
<br />three large power prajects in
<br />Washington—the recently com-
<br />pleted Rocky Reach Project of
<br />Chelan County PUD No. 1 and
<br />tfie 800,000-kilawatt atomic
<br />power Hanford Project of the
<br />Washirgton Public Power Sup-
<br />ply System and the 6�8,000-kilo-
<br />watt Wells Project of Deugias
<br />County PUD No. 1 now under
<br />construction.
<br />Our services included, among
<br />others, the preparation of engi-
<br />neering report= relating to proj-
<br />ect feasibility and financing, esti-
<br />mates of power costs, review of
<br />capital cost estimates, prepara-
<br />tion of progress reports on proj-
<br />ect expenditures, assistance in
<br />establishing budgets and budget-
<br />ary control procedures and as-
<br />sistance in the preparation and
<br />negotiation of po�ver sales con-
<br />tracts and marketing programs.
<br />The firm assisted in the p-ep-
<br />aration and negotiation of con-
<br />tracts with the Atomic Ener;y
<br />Commission for ;he construction
<br />and operation of the Hanford
<br />Project in association with the
<br />AEC's dual-purpose New Produc-
<br />tion Reactor, for the purchase of
<br />waste heat from the NPR and for
<br />the future lease and operation of
<br />the NPR as a single-purpose fa-
<br />cility after pluConium production
<br />is discontinued. The firm also as-
<br />sisted in developina a nuclear
<br />fuel program.
<br />Rot�y Reach began commer-
<br />cial production on November 1,
<br />1961, and the firm is retained as
<br />Consulting Engineer with respect
<br />to the operatson of the Project.
