There is a taffic smaphore located on this
corner which would have to be relocated if the curbin were to be installed
as per plan. This matter was discussed with Messrs. Floyd Snyker and Wm.
Chenoweth of the County Lngincrs Office. They we°^ f the opiaion that
County Iad Brold be improved in te foreseeable future and that the
surfac width would be 44 £c:et, or 22 feet from the center line of he
street to the fa.ce oz^ the curb. I appears hat te basic grade wi 1 not
Ue chaned materially, but the driveways should be constructed to tl
s-treet rather than the street ;o the driveways.
In this line of' thought, they expressed that asphalt curbing and driveways
should be constructed. T'ie sidewalk, as proposed, cou11 be constructea az"'
concreLe as it wi.11 be f ive f eet f rom the f ace oi the curb .
A propa.ed grade oi' the curbin will be submitted to the County Engir_eer
for appoval prior to permittin, ;he owner to procede with this construction.
In reard to Iexington Avenue, the State has not yct made comment on thE
wa.d:h of I.xinton. It has been proposed to the State that the existing
elevation at a point 22 feet ast of the center line and opposite the south
proprty line be used as the controlling point of the center line. From
this point north to the inlet within the street, and just nortb of the curbing
on Count,y Iad B, a straight 6rade should be used.
As Iexinton may revert to the County in the f uture, Messrs. Snyker and
Chenoweth were asked about the County interests. They pointed. out that this
was not under their jurisiiction. 'Ihey did state, however, that if Iexington
wcre to revert to the Cunty's jurisdiction, the grade would probably have
to be improvd as it is now at what is considered a less than minimum grade.
