r

October 1, 1969
CAS E IlO:
APPLICANT:
LOCAT 10 N:
ACTION REQUESTED:
547-69
Alecander Hodson
SoUth of Roselawn Avenue, West of Fernwood
See Sketch)
Variance to S ide Yard Setback
PLANNING CONSIDERATlONS:
1. The applicant proposes to replace an existing garage that was constructed
some years ago and located in the very southeast corner of his propety.
The lot is 6G feet wide with a depth of 170 feet. The problem is the exisfiing
garage was constructed some 18 inches from the properfiy line. The ordincnce
would require this separate garage structure to be af least five feet from the
l ine. The appl icant equests a variance, noting that if he were required to
move the garage, some extensive landscaping would have to be destroyed.
The applicant further indicates that fihe neighbors have approved his proposal .
Here again, it would seem reasonable that if the (ocation of the existing
garage had no deleterious effect on the contiguous properties, it would be
reasonable to allow the construcfiion of a new garage on the old site.
