Interactive Services - Meredith Cable's plan contemplates the capability of <br />offering interactive services upon completion of the project and a reasonable expectation <br />of consumer acceptance and financial viability. While various services are currently <br />developing, Meredith Cable is considering, among other services, a digital music service <br />and interactive program guide. No decisions have been made regarding particular <br />services, pricing or launch dates. <br /> <br />· C - 7. Digital Services - Meredith Cable anticipates that additional premium service <br />options, pay-per-view offerings and other new services including future digital services <br />wiII be offered over time utilizing the appropriate bandwidth. <br /> <br />D. HIGH SPEED DATA TRANSMISSION <br /> <br />In addition to traditional video services, the cable system will position Meredith Cable to offer <br />new and yet-to-be-developed non-video services. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />D - 1. The subscriber network will have adequate capability to enable the provision of <br />high speed data service such as Internet access as marketplace need dictates. <br /> <br />D - 2. Meredith Cable's system will be able to address opportunities to meet the non- <br />video interests of the business community by including fiber capacity through business <br />corridors identified during the construction walkout in order to explore high speed data <br />services demand by business users. <br /> <br />E. COMMITMENT TO ACCESS PROGRAMMING <br /> <br />Meredith Cable proposes to meet and exceed the agreements regarding access support which <br />were entered into with the North Suburban Cable Communications Commission in the November <br />3, 1994 Memorandum of Understanding. Specifically Meredith Cable proposes the following <br />support for local access programming: <br /> <br />· E - 1. Meredith Cable agrees to maintain the number of access channels (12) as currently <br />exist and accept the concept of having the current channel loan agreements extended for <br />the fifteen (15) year renewal term and that the Commission will retain control over the <br />entire 6 W1Z spectrum that equals one channel.. <br /> <br />· E - 2. Meredith Cable agrees that the Commission can, on its own, change the name of <br />required PEG channels, provided that Meredith is indemnified from any claims as a result <br /> <br />7 <br />
