Kuhne
West of Woodbridge and North of Owasso Boulevard
(See Sketch)
Approval of Prel iminary Plat
RLAN6'lING CONSIDERATIONS:
1. The property in question was original ly proposed as a part of the Vi(lage
Park iri the 196(J study„ Due to difficulties in cttempting to purchase fihe
property from the (andowner ah that time, the properfiy was not included
in the park acquisition progrnm. AI° the property in question is proposed
as a future park site in the overall 'illage Plan. The (ofi immediately
north of the property in question, ot the end of Wooc(ynn is owned by
the neighbors in the area cnd is utilized fc: park purposes
2. Zhe applicant proposes to get private access to lots 1 and _^ via the cul-de-
sac on Woodlynn, for this purpose, he has purchased that trapezoie of land
that extends infio the lot east of lot 1 of the proposd development. Access
fo lots 3, 4, 5 and 6 wou{d be via cul-de-sac ta be constructed from Owasso
Boulevard, To accomplish this, the applicant request the use of the eosterly
60 feet of existing park site and in retur proposes to dedicate the area of
land to the west cf I,is development as shown in the sketch at the left.
The applicant then nroposes to construct a lagoon as shown in the sketch at
the left.
3. There are serious soif problems and thus serious engineering problems that must
be $olved in the development of this property. The first question, however,
is that of the desirability of the properfiy for park purpose as suggested in 1960
and reaffirmed in the new comprehensive plan. Thus, we suggest t!at the
application be referred to the Park Board for their consideration prior to
action by fihe Planning Commission.
