In support of this request, � <br />I wish to sumrr.arize these facts: " <br />(1) The Logerquists purchased the subject property in June, 1968 <br />from 8. C. Scheurman on the assumption that approval could be obtained >_ <br />from �he Council for a change to A-3 classification, since the build- <br />ing vaas originally constructed as a 3-famil� dwelling. <br />(2) Since purchasing the property for ��5,000.00, Nlr. Logerguist <br />has spent an additional �5,000.0� i.n remodeling the lo wer level, mak- <br />ing a total investment of �50,00O.00e <br />(3) Present encumbrances against the property total ��9,000.00, <br />on which the Logerquists are p�ying �324000 per mo nth, not including <br />re�l estate tsxes, which are approximately �1,200.00 per year. <br />(4�) Mro Logerquist, who is �5 years o1d, has been C carpenter <br />for man,y .years. His earnings, however, have been severel� diminished <br />'n receazt years because of diabetes; last year he earned �6,000.00. <br />(5) The Lagerquists have invested their life's s�vings in this <br />proper;y. Their pu�jpose in purchas�.ng it was to supplement Mr. Loger- <br />quist's dimf_nishing earnings b,y renting two of the units and living <br />in the third. <br />
