Attached ir a letter from tfe State HghwQy Department to Mr. Sherman
Goldberg your Pubiic Works Director suggesting thar the Village consider
a change in the name of tNat partion of St. Craix Street north of Highwiay 36
which leads into Terminal Road.
2. The new design for fihe interchange of Highway 3E, 280, and 35W directs
north bound traffic from 280 into $t. Crox Street as an access to Rosevile's
industriol area and so-called "space ecnrer". The HighNay Department is
suggesting that the road name change that would suggesX th fact that it is
the enfironce to fihe industrial area would facifitate the Highway Department
in signing for this exit. An example of such a road name change is "a,k
Hi11 Road", a road leading from an interchange on 35W in the Village of
Burnsvi9le. Such a name change obviously indicate in the case of Buck Hil!
that this road is the access to Quck HiII without having to sign separately for
that fact.
3. We suggest that ccansideration be given to the road name change with the
intont that it help the monring pblic rclate to the Rosevifle Industrial Center
as suggested, There are a variety of solutions that can be considered at the
meeting along with exnmples of other such solutins in the metropol itan area.
