The electrical test shall be <br />made after the hydrostatic pressure test and while the linQ is at normal <br />operating pressure. Backfilling sh��ll have been completed. The line m�y <br />be tested in sections of convenient length as approved by the Engineer. <br />Direct current of 350 amperes �- 10%, shall be passed through the pipe line <br />for fiv� (5) minutes. Gu�rent flow t}�rough the pipe shall be measured con- <br />tinuously on a suicable ammeter and shall remain stear3y with�ut interruption <br />or excessiv� fluctuati�n through�ut the five (S) minute test period. <br />Insufficient current or inte�mittent current or arcing, indicated by lgrge <br />fluctuation �E the ammeter n�edle, shall lae evidence of defective �lectrical <br />contact in the pipe line.
