To The Roseville Uillage Council: We request that the Roseville Village Council consider an amendment to the B-1 zoning code to add to the list of approved uses "antiques, handicrafts, and gifts." We are now operating a business of this type at 3092 North Lexington Avenue. It is not a gift shop in the usual sense because it includes antiques, original paint- ings, handmade stoneware pottery, and handcr.afts of other types. We are primarily a shop for ladies, informal and unique. Many of our customers bring in out-of-t4wn guests to admire the hand- crafts of our area. decorating in goodltaste,ugroominghtherlawn�an�y Painting and generally making it a vE�ry attractive p�aCe, d 9rounds, and We believe that our planned use agrees with the spirit and intent of the zoning requirements by providing a "buffer zone" between the business property and resid�ntial area; and would be more appropriate than approved uses now on the list, such as greenhouses, lawn and garden stores, etc. For all intents and purposes, our shop would not appear different from other surrounding residences. We would be pleased to invite members of the Council or F�lann�ng Commission, as well as the residents of the adjoining residential area, to visit our shop and obtain a first hand impression of the type of business we now operate.
