Some live in independent apartment situation�, <br />some in board and lodging, some in nursing care. <br />Another 4Q0 persons are being served through outreach programs by which elder�rams� <br />given supportive services which help them continue living at home. These prog <br />are Adult Day Care, Nome Nealth Nursing Services, Home Helpers (house-keeping <br />services), Home Delivered Meals, Respite (Short Term) Care, on-site services <br />through our Clinic, and therapy programs and activities. <br />As the population af the elderly of ous- �society is increasing rapidly, the needs <br />are also increasing, and we now need more s�ace for our operations. Therefore, <br />the Johanna Middle School is being purchase.d. <br />We require zoning of the property for our use for care programs for the elderly. <br />� The present school builaing will be r�novated for residential living, nursing <br />care and expansion of the outreach service� "� the comheretywithti9l empdoyees <br />tha� approximately 170 elderly peopie wil �e housed t , <br />(133•5 F•T•�•) on the staff, wizh a maximum of j0 staff present at one time. <br />Th� area west of the building will be used f.or expansion of the facility, when <br />needed. T he area to the south of the building will be held in reserve for the <br />fores�eable future, and used as a planned passive recreation area for seniors, <br />wiXh appropriate features such as; horseshoe, shuffl�board, walkways which in- <br />corporate wellness exercises, picnic spots and other components which are <br />compatible with a geriatric care facility. <br />� For the enhancement of Langton Lake and its adjacent habitat of wildiife, we <br />p�opose offering a dedicated setback along the eastern boundry line of about <br />1.76 �cres (See diagram).
