 MEMORANDIIM
DATE: May 2, 1991
T0: Steve Sarkozy
FROM: Philip Carlson
RE: PLANNING OFFICE HOURS, May 1, 1991
1. Darwin Lindahl, SEH (490-2099)
Mr. Lindahl is the architect working with the Satur auto
dealership negotiating to purchase Kline Volo on Long Lake Road.
He had talked with us previously concerning the remodelling they
will be doing to the buildfng ard site. The zilding facelift, new
canopy, paving, landscaping, signage, and display space they are
proposing do not appear to go bey4nd the threshold for site plar
review or design standards, and can go ahead with a builing permit
only.
Several issues will need to be addressed, hawever. More
landscaping will have to added on the houlevard, cusomec and
service parking will need to veriied and identified on site, and
a sidewalk w3.11 have to be installed along Long Lake Road.

2. He hd
assumed he needed t4 builc it in front becaus+ te didn't have
sufficien side yard, but by researching as-buil+ drawings we wer
able to canfrm that M.. Gisvold actually has mor of aide yard
than he hough. He had assumed the lot bine was rozghZy half way
Iotween his grage ard hia niqhbor's garaqe i but there is acally
about 12' fr4m the exising garage to tis side .o line. Th.s
would be enough to build the wider qarag ne wants, while still
meing the 5' side setbaclt. He will onPirm the location of his
lot line, and come back when he has a new garaqe proposal.
3. Fran Slage]., Corpus Christi (639-8888
Ms. Slagel came Yn to discuss the church's proposal to divid off
a parcel of their land at Fairview and corty Red, B and develop
it as single fami.ly lots. She kad a preliminary plat cirawing
prepared by a surveyor depicting standard lots on a cul-de-sac on
the south end of the property off of Fairview Avenue.
