MEMOItANllIIM
 DA.TE: 19 October 1990
TO: Steve Sarkozy
FROM: John Shardlow
SUBJECT: PLANNING OFFICE HOURS, October 3, 1990
1. Tom and John Willmus
On August 15, John Willmus had attended an office hours
appointment to discuss the location for an automatic teller
machine on the bank property. We had identified a number of
].ocations where such a facility could be placed on the property
without disrupting the circulation or parking design. However,
they had decided to submit plans that did not coincide with the
direction that was given to them at the office hours aprointment
and, as a result, they received a negative planning report. This
item was scheduled to be heard by the Planning Commission this
evening (October 3rd, 1990). After discussing this matter at
some length and visiting the bank property with Mr. Willmus and
Council Member Thomas, we returned and agreed to a modificatia
of their proposal to insure that the traffic using the ATM would
not be in conflict with normal bank circulation.
 2. Dale Brown, IDS Financial Services
Mr. Brown was in to review the zoning and building code
compliance issues related to the reconfiguration of the office
spac at the building owned by Everest and leased to IDS in the
northwest quadrant of County Road C and Long Lake Road. The
office spaces for IDS on the second floor of this building had
been very intensely laid out and there wre a number of fire code
issues related to the entrances and exits whenthe project was
initially approved. We reviewed these, issues and talked about
the various levels of concern related to a series of. potential
future scenarios, including the sublas of the space to another
entity. After receiving this informaion, Mr. Brown agreed that
they would decide as a company which of these scenarios they
would like to pursue, and return to talk with us about how o
proceed.
