We had many, many problems with this application. First of
a11, he was not proposing to formally subdivide the lot, but
rather just use it for a combination of commercial and
residential purposes. Secondly, he was proposing to use the
lot solely for an accessory use without a principal use on the
lot. He planned to make no improvements to the lot, no paving,
curbing, etc. There are two garages on the lot and he planned
to store hardware in one of the garages, while using the
residential driveway to get into and out of the site.
For all of these reasons, and more, we recommended that he
withdraw his application. He agreed to write a leter and
formally withdraw the application and w will explain the
reasons briefly at the Planning Commissiori meeting. We did
counsel him that it might be in his best interest to purchase
this lot and rent the house until he can put together enough
money to do a first rate job of combining the lots and
expanding his business.
