_: ,
 y', •
L

December 17, 1986
TO:
FROM:
Jim Andre
Howard Dahlgren
CJ
SUBJECT: OFFICE PLANNING HOURS, DECEMBER 10, 1986
1. Rosewood, 631-3254
Peter Hilger was in to review revised plans for their five
offic: buildings for their site at the northwest corner of
35W nd Highway 36.
Charlie Honchell noted our concerns with the east/west road-
way shown to be built with the center line on the property
line between the Rosewood property and that of the Glacier
Park property. Our concern is the resistance on the part af
Glacier Park people to dedicate right-of-way. I noted that
the Glacier Park property will have other frontage and, thus,
we cannot claim a need on their part. I suggested,
theref ore, the roadway be shifted to the south, and that the
Glacier Park property would be assessed if the roadway were
used (which it likely will be ).
They are proceeding with the preparation of the EA4d, and I
encouraged them to get that ta the City as quickly as
possible. I also encouraged their talking to the Glacier
Park people regarding the roadway and other elements of
cooperation that might be effected. Tentative plans ca1.1 for
submission of the application for the February meeting of the
Planning Commission.
2. Bransen, 633-3103
Ted Bransen operates the B and Dale Amoco Station which he
leases at the northeast corner of B and Dale. He wants to
add an enclosure in the form of a solid fence for storage
purposes. It appears this can be accomplished, but I
suggested he get a survey first, to determine the exact
location of his facilitis relative to the property lines,
and to come back to the City with his specific proposal.
3. Schaar, 636-0380
Lou Schaar was in with Chris Kringel and Artie Holmquist,
both of Edina Realty (636-3760), to review Mr. Schaar's
proposal to purchase the old Porderosa Steak building which
is now occupied by a telephone store and Bob Renstrom's
dental laboratory.
