Merz, 926-2646
Steve Merz is the Project Manager for Weis Builders,
builders of the Pavilion Place Shopping Center. Steve
in, at the staff's request, to review the status of
landscaping and :Eencing program for,
north of the Shopping Center. Most ofrtheulandscaping
put in last Fall, but sodding remains to be done, and
construction of the fence.
2nc.,
was
their
area
was
th
Bruce Anderson, who lives 1708 Oakcrest, was also at the
meeting. He is concerned about drainage an the south
his lot, wkich can and will be corrected this Spring toaallow
the water to flow westerly toward the
the west is Linda Hetland, at 1716 Oakcrest. Linclahasibeen
in touch with Gordie and us regarding the design and height
of the fence. She notes, and Bruce Anderson agrees, tkat
though the berm constructed hides the
immediately behind the berm, the slo e of tearking area
leaves cars further distant visible from thefrpahomes and
yards.
Steve confirms that the fence to be constructed is a six
foot chain link, with green vinyl coating, which was agreed
upon by mos af the neighbors at the discussions which took
place last year. That fence wi11 be located within two fee
of the property lYne, leaving two feet on the other side,
cor►tiguous to the neighbors' back ards.
ther wou].d not want to put another fence on topVafthed berm
but would prepare a coniferous landsca in
screen the parking and the lights thatpare ofaeoncernnto the
Andersons and the Hetlands. Steve agreed to go to the site
with Mr. Anderson righ after the meeting to look at th
drainaqe question and review the site lines o the parking
area.
We noted that the on-site solutiori to the drainage and the
screening can best be worked out between the grapearty owners.
This approach is agreed upon, and Steve Merz will return to
the City with a plan for the City's review.
Steve noted that the shopping entr las been sold to a
sYndica, but that Weis Management Company wi11 continue to
manage the center. The manager is Gregg Comte, operating
out of the Rochester office, at 507-288-2p41, Gregg was
with the Center Companies and, according to Steve, has
considerable experience in shopping center management.
