DATE:
TO:
FROM:
SUBJECT:
M E M O R A N D U M
March 13, 1990
Craig Waldron
Rick Jopke
Barry O'Meara's townhome project at Lexington
Roseplace
I have reviewed the approved plans and the townhomes under
construction at Lexington and County Road C and find the
construction to be consistent with the approved plans. The
confusion may be that Mr. O'Meara is only constructing two of the
four units in the first new building. I discussed the matter
with Mr. O'Meara and he indicated to me that he is currently
constructing a model and one additional unit. As the units are
sold, he will construct additional units. Two 4-unit buildings
and the northerly two units of the building under construction
are yet to be constructed. Mr. O'Meara indicated that he is
doing it this way so as to limit his risk and expense of
constructing speculative units and also to allow him to custom
design each unit to the buyers desire.
The design and materials to be used on the units generally agree
with the proposed plans. Mr. O'Meara is adding some additional
brick on the lower part of the building. In my opinion, this is
upgrading the quality of the unit. Therefore, it can be
approved.
Mr. 0'Meara indicated that he assures the City that the project
will continue to be constructed in a quality manner and that if
the city staff or other representatives of the City have any
concerns, that they should contact him to discuss the matter.
