Broderick <br />F & M Distributors, Inc. <br />25800 Sherwood <br />Warren, Michigan 48091 <br />Dear Mr. Broderick: <br />I am writing in response to your recent letter concerning the use <br />of an outside dumpster at your store here in Roseville. <br />The 'Rosedale Marketplace Shopping Center went through a City <br />special use permit approval process. The limitations on outside <br />dumpsters was specifically discussed from the beginning zaith this <br />project. The plan that was approved had no outside dumpsters. A <br />plan amendment would be required to have outside dumpsters. <br />The procedure which has to be iollo���d for a plan amendment is <br />the same as the original special use permit. This will re�uire <br />completion of an application, review by� the Planning Commission <br />and City Council. I have attached a copy of the application form <br />for your use. <br />I want to be up front with you about �this issue. Outside <br />dumpsters are a major concern with the Roseville Planning <br />Coi�mission and City Council. The City Council currently is <br />rev�iewing specific ordinance requirements to mandate inside <br />storage af trash. Based on �he discussions which have occurred <br />and the fact that inside storage has been required of recent <br />projects reviewed by the City, I don't believe the City would <br />approve outside dumpsters.
