They are requesting permissi.on to �alaGe <br />some signs on the Lido Res�.aurant property and ora the•property <br />awned by Slawik's, just scauth of Midway Ford. The purpQse of �he <br />signs are to direct traffic to Mr. S}clar's turnitur� 5tore ir� the <br />Rosedal� Square North Shopping Center. Apparently, Nir. Sklar is <br />not being successful at that location because people can'� fimd <br />his stor�. I have discussed the matter with them and have told <br />�h�m that these signs are not possible because they would be <br />adv�rti�ing signs which are prohibited by the City's sic�n. <br />ordinance. <br />Please advis� me if this is a standard which the City �ould <br />. issue a� variance to. I have also discovered that there see�ns to <br />b� a conflict in t3�e City's ordinance concerning this matt�x. <br />The ordinance in 8.330 lists outcioor advertxsing� signs as a <br />permitted us� in the B-� zoning district while the sign ordin�nce <br />ir� 14.030 seems t� prohibit advertisi.ng signs.
