During the discussions, the
'''" neighbors complaind that customers from the Rose Galleries
;;.;.
° acrass County Road B, from the school site, tere in fact using
. ,
.'"' . the school facilities to park their cars which caused problems to
';{';' < .;, the neighbors . I vaguely emember hat you or Roger Jensen
'''` issued an opinion concerning the parking problem back then but I
''''' cannot recall what that opinion was or nor can S find a copy of
':j . ,' , ,
:., any written opinion from your office. Ultimately, the former
' ;' Lexington School site was rezoned to a combination of B-3, B-1,
`` and R-3A and the Ca.ty took no action concening the parking
; complaint.
I recently received a cmplain from one of the neighbors agair
indicating that the portion of the school si which was zoned R-
3A, is being used for par}cing by customers of Rose Galleries and
, that there was illegal garking also going on along tlne street. I
' sent a letter to Jerry Kaufhold advising him to advise his
;''' customers not to park on the portion of the site zoned R-3A. Mr.
Kaufhold responded to my letter with a phone call during which e
stated that he advised his people not to park illegally on the
' street and if they don't comply, they should be ticketed. He
also stated that he i not willirg to Yestric people from
paxking on the foxmer Lexington School site. He stated that
parking has occurred on the szte for 14 years and when he
purchased the site, the City was aware of the existing parking
and that he was purchasing the site to relieve his parking
problem, He also sated that he will be movng from the site
once he finds a buyer for the school and finds a new site for the
Rose Galleries. Y: said he should be out of the site in a year.

2660 CIVIC CENTER DR[VE • ROSEVPLLE • 1-1INNESOTA • 55113 • 612-90-2200
