Based on the concerns that the 35/36 gateway residents <br />expressed to the Ci�y Council at the Work Session, <br />Councilmember Pat Johnson asked that staff inform her of the <br />results of the meeting with the respective neighbors. <br />2. The meeting occurred the evening of July 22, 1992 and the <br />following was covered: <br />a. <br />b. <br />c. <br />d. <br />e. <br />f. <br />g• <br />What the City has done to market the prQperty, <br />What the City plans to do to market the property in the <br />future. <br />Discussion �of problems with Artistic Finishes Company. <br />Current status of City dealings with Hart property <br />owner$. <br />What �ould occur at the end of the two year agr�emant <br />with the City. <br />What is the possibility of buyinc� the neighbors out <br />now? <br />�dditional review relating to the �urtner's l�tter of <br />concern, again, relating to Artistic Finishes. <br />3. The attached document d�picts �he are�s where the City has <br />specifically marketed the gatEway ax°ea. In addition, many <br />other "smaller" activi�ies have occurred relatinc� �o <br />promotions through Metro East, n�arketirag at state�aide <br />conventions, etc. <br />4. Finally, staff did approach the ne�.ghbors �egarding the <br />potential of an immedia�e buyout. The neighbors are to meet <br />as a group, discuss price and ccndition� witi� respect to an <br />�.mmediate k�uyout, and appaint a representa�ive to negotiate <br />with staff. <br />
