Plastic bottles and thermoforms made from high density polyethylene resin <br />without pigment or coloring (e.g., milk jugs, gallon water jugs, and ice <br />cream pails). <br />4.18 Holidays <br />Days on which Recycling service is deferred one calendar day, including <br />January 1, Memorial Day, July 4t', Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and <br />Christmas Day. <br />4.19 Market Indicator <br />Commodity price indices as per the recycling industry publication specified <br />in the Contract. <br />4.20 Markets <br />Any person or company that buys (or charges) for recycling of specified <br />materials and may include, but are not limited to: end -markets, intermediate <br />processors, brokers and other recycling material reclaimers. <br />4.21 Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) <br />A facility in which recyclable materials are processed. The facility will <br />conform to all applicable rules, regulations and laws of state, local or other <br />jurisdictions. <br />Fk2l <br />4.22 Multi -unit dwellings (MUD) <br />A building or a portion thereof containing five or more dwelling units. <br />4.23 Multi -unit dwelling (MUD) recycling containers <br />Recycling containers used for multi -unit dwellings (MUD'S) including any <br />bin, cart, dumpster or other receptacle for temporary storage and collection <br />of designated recyclables from residents in MUDS prior to collection. Such <br />recycling containers must be separate, explicitly labeled with text and <br />graphics as to recyclables included, and colored differently from other <br />containers for mixed solid waste or trash. <br />4.24 Multi -unit dwelling (MUD) recycling service <br />Recycling collection service, together with related public education and <br />other customer services, provided to MUD residents that utilize MUD <br />recycling containers as specified in 4.23 and use MUD recycling stations as <br />specified in 4.25. <br />4.25 Multi -unit dwelling (MUD) recycling stations <br />The location of MUD recycling containers will be designated by the City <br />with agreement of the recycling Contractor and the MUD building owner. <br />MUD recycling stations will likely be a cluster of recycling carts and/or <br />recycling dumpsters. <br />10 <br />
