Roseville Public Works, Environment and <br />Transportation Commission <br />Agenda Item <br />Date: February 23, 2016 <br />Item Description: Communication Items <br />Item No: 4 <br />Project updates: <br />• Lift Station Replacements <br />• The St. Croix storm water lift station upgrade is progressing. The new generator is <br />in place. The new pumps will be installed the week of February 22. <br />• Twin Lakes Parkway <br />• Extension of Twin Lakes Parkway from Prior Ave to Fairview Ave. <br />• Major roadwork will begin in spring of 2016. <br />• 35W & Cleveland Interchange <br />• Improved intersection improvements at35W and Cleveland Avenue. <br />• Major work will begin the Spring of 2016 <br />• Capital Region —Upper Villa Reuse and Infiltration Project <br />• Installation of an underground system on Upper Villa park behind the B -Dale <br />Club. <br />• All underground work installing the system has been completed. <br />• Final restoration work and start-up will take place in the spring of 2016. <br />• Metro Transit A Line BRT Project: Construction has started on the stations along <br />Snelling Ave at County Road B and Larpenteur (in Falcon Heights). Actual BRT service <br />is expected to start in the spring of 2016. <br />• 2016 Pond Cleanup — Byerly's & Valley Park <br />• Valley Park had 2,750 cubic yards of sediment removed from the three <br />stormwater ponds during the period of January 11 through the completion date of <br />February 12. The ponds are now back to, or nearly back to, the original <br />functionality and will help protect Lake Owasso's water quality. The three ponds <br />will be monitored in the 5 years to see how sediment is accumulating, and the <br />next planned dredging activity for Valley Park is 20-30 years from now. <br />• Railroad Culvert Replacement <br />• Minnesota Commercial will be replacing a culvert under the rail road tracks, <br />located adjacent to County Rd C just east of Victoria St. that serves a major <br />drainage system between Central Park and Lake Owasso. The work is expected tc <br />take place between February 15 and February 21. <br />Transit Shelter Update <br />• The transit shelters maintained under the now expired franchise agreement with <br />OutFront Media have started to be removed. As of February 12, only 3 of 19 <br />shelters are remaining. <br />
