Roseville Public Works, Environment and Transportation Commission Agenda Item Date: February 23, 2016 Item Description: Communication Items Item No: 4 Project updates: • Lift Station Replacements • The St. Croix storm water lift station upgrade is progressing. The new generator is in place. The new pumps will be installed the week of February 22. • Twin Lakes Parkway • Extension of Twin Lakes Parkway from Prior Ave to Fairview Ave. • Major roadwork will begin in spring of 2016. • 35W & Cleveland Interchange • Improved intersection improvements at35W and Cleveland Avenue. • Major work will begin the Spring of 2016 • Capital Region —Upper Villa Reuse and Infiltration Project • Installation of an underground system on Upper Villa park behind the B -Dale Club. • All underground work installing the system has been completed. • Final restoration work and start-up will take place in the spring of 2016. • Metro Transit A Line BRT Project: Construction has started on the stations along Snelling Ave at County Road B and Larpenteur (in Falcon Heights). Actual BRT service is expected to start in the spring of 2016. • 2016 Pond Cleanup — Byerly's & Valley Park • Valley Park had 2,750 cubic yards of sediment removed from the three stormwater ponds during the period of January 11 through the completion date of February 12. The ponds are now back to, or nearly back to, the original functionality and will help protect Lake Owasso's water quality. The three ponds will be monitored in the 5 years to see how sediment is accumulating, and the next planned dredging activity for Valley Park is 20-30 years from now. • Railroad Culvert Replacement • Minnesota Commercial will be replacing a culvert under the rail road tracks, located adjacent to County Rd C just east of Victoria St. that serves a major drainage system between Central Park and Lake Owasso. The work is expected tc take place between February 15 and February 21. Transit Shelter Update • The transit shelters maintained under the now expired franchise agreement with OutFront Media have started to be removed. As of February 12, only 3 of 19 shelters are remaining.
