Plastic bottles and thermoforms made from high density polyethylene resin <br />without pigment or coloring (e.g., milk jugs, gallon water jugs, and ice <br />cream pails). <br />4.19 Market demand <br />The economic and technical capacity of markets to use recyclable material to <br />make new products. <br />4.20 Market Indicator <br />Commodity price indices as per specified recycling industry publication or <br />actual prices paid by specified end -market company. <br />4.21 Markets <br />Any person or company that buys (or charges) for recycling of specified <br />materials and may include, but are not limited to: end -markets, intermediate <br />processors, brokers and other recycling material reclaimers. <br />4.22 Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) <br />A recycling facility in which recyclable materials are processed. The facility <br />will conform to all applicable rules, regulations and laws of state, local or <br />other jurisdictions. <br />4.23 Multiple family dwellings (MFD) <br />A building or a portion thereof containing five or more dwelling units. <br />4.24 Multiple family dwelling (MFD) recycling containers <br />Recycling containers used for multiple family dwellings (MFD) including <br />any bin, cart, dumpster or other receptacle for temporary storage and <br />collection of designated recyclables from residents in MFDs prior to <br />collection. Such recycling containers must be separate, explicitly labeled <br />with text and graphics as to recyclables included, and colored differently <br />from other containers for mixed solid waste or trash. Recycling containers <br />must be maintained in proper operating condition and be reasonably clean <br />and sanitary. <br />4.25 Multiple family dwelling (MFD) recycling service <br />Recycling collection service, together with related public education and <br />other customer services, provided to MFD residents that utilize MFD <br />recycling containers as specified in 4.24 and use MFD recycling stations as <br />specified in 4.26. <br />4.26 Multiple family dwelling (MFD) recycling stations <br />The location of MFD recycling containers will be designated by the City <br />with agreement of the recycling Contractor and the MFD building owner. <br />MFD recycling stations will likely be a cluster of recycling carts and/or <br />recycling dumpsters. <br />10 <br />
