<br />CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1231 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE I, CHAPTERS 104 <br />AND 106 OF THE ROSEVlLLE CITY CODE <br />CONCERNING THE VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT <br /> <br />THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE ORDAINS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. Section 104.0l(B) of the Roseville City Code is amended to read <br />as follows: <br /> <br />B. Employees covered: This Chapter shall establish the employment relationship of <br />all City employees except the following: <br /> <br />1. All elected officials and members of boards and commissions; <br />2. City Manager and City Attorney; and <br />3. Persons hired to provide services for the City on a contractual <br />basis. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. Section 104.0l(D) of the Roseville City Code is amended to add <br />the following definition: <br /> <br />D. PART-TIME FIREFIGHTERS: Positions in this category typically work less <br />than 20 hours per week for the Roseville Fire Department. Part-time firefighters are <br />not eligible for benefits except where specifically noted. <br /> <br />SECTION 3. Section 104.03 of the Roseville City Code is amended to add a <br />new subsection U to read as follows: <br /> <br />U. Part-time Firefighters: The members of the Fire Department shall organize <br />themselves into a Firefighter's Relief Association. The City Council shall establish <br />by resolution pension and funeral benefits for part-time firefighters. <br /> <br />SECTION 4. Section 106.01 of the Roseville City Code is amended to read as <br />follows: <br /> <br />106.01: ESTABLISHMENT: There is established a Fire Department consisting <br />of a Fire Chief and such other subordinate officers and personnel to be appointed by <br />the City Manager. <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />81178 <br />
