<br />must include measures to minimize removal activity during the hours of 10 p.m. <br />and 7 a.m. consistent with public safety requirements. The plan must also address <br />the location and management of short-term and long-term storage' of snow on-site <br />and off-site. <br /> <br />I. Equipment Restrictions: All ground-mounted or roof-mounted equipment, automatic <br />doors, speaker systems, gas pumps, car washes, vehicle vacuum cleaners, air <br />hoses, or other noise sources within 300 feet of a residential area must be <br />completely screened to a point 5' above the first floor of adjacent residences. <br />Outdoor speaker systems or other public address systems which can be heard <br />outside are not allowed to be used between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. <br />within 300' of a residential district, even if screened. <br /> <br />J. Lighting: The height of light poles and fixtures shall comply with subsection <br />1010.12, and shall not exceed a height of twelve (12) feet within fifty (50) feet of a <br />residential property line, twenty-five (25) feet within 100' of a residential property <br />line. Light poles or fixtures may be a maximum of forty (40) feet tall if more than <br />100' from a residential property line and if completely screened by building, berm, <br />or landscape material with a minimum opacity of 90 % to eye level view of living <br />spaces in homes within 300' of light source. All lights not reasonably required for <br />security or business operation must be turned off between the hours of 10:00 p.m. <br />and sunrise, or operated by motion detectors so that they only turn on when there is <br />activity nearby and turn off shortly thereafter. <br /> <br />K. Other Requirements: <br /> <br />1. Certain Businesses in Shopping Center Districts to be Enclosed: All <br />business, storage, service, repair or processing, box and crate storage or <br />merchandise display shall be conducted wholly within an enclosed <br />building or behind a solid fence not less than five feet (5') high except as <br />allowed in subsection 1005.01G. (Ord. 1066, 7-24-89) <br /> <br />2. Communication: All uses within the "S-C" district shall have, and must <br />post on the exterior premises, a phone number that will be answered by <br />persons with authority, including the shopping center manager and the <br />individual store manager, to respond to customer concerns or complaints <br />during business hours or when other related commercial activities occur. <br /> <br />3. Security: Commercial property owners will be responsible for providing <br />frequent and thorough security monitoring of commercial areas within <br />300' of a residential district. <br />
