Attachment B EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING 1 OF THE 2 CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE 3 4 * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * 5 6 7 Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City 8 of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota was duly held on the fourteenth day of 9 March, 2016, at 6:00 p.m. 10 11 The following members were present: 12 13 and the following were absent: . 14 15 Member introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: 16 RESOLUTION No. 17 18 19 Joint Powers Agreement with Ramsey County for Election Voting System 20 21 WHEREAS: The current election equipment that was purchased in 2002 through a Joint 22 Powers Agreement with Ramsey County and other Ramsey County 23 municipalities, has reached the end of its useful life; and 24 25 WHEREAS: Efficient ballot preparation and the timely compilation of election results 26 depend upon the use of a uniform voting system throughout the county, 27 and the use of a uniform voting system for all elections enhances election 28 judge and voter understanding of the voting process and helps to provide 29 equitable treatment for all voters, regardless of the type of election; and 30 31 WHEREAS: The task force has reached agreement on the need to replace the existing 32 voting system with the Hart Intercivic and the funding formula for the 33 news voting system; 34 35 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Joint Powers Agreement with 36 Ramsey County for Election Voting System 37 38 The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member 39 40 , and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: 41 42 and the following voted against the same: . 43 44 WHEREUPON said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
