Roseville Public Works, Environment and <br />Transportation Commission <br />Agenda Item <br />Date: March 22, 2016 Item No: 5 <br />Item Description: South Lake Owasso Private Drive Storm Sewer Improvements <br />Background: <br />City staff has been working with residents along South Lake Owasso Boulevard for the past two <br />years to address drainage concerns with the road. Currently this section of road east of Owasso <br />Boulevard is a private road with a gravel surface. The road is in an easement from the railroad. <br />Currently the drainage on the road is minimal and the storm water discharges into Lake Owasso <br />with no treatment. Staff has met with residents on the road on two occasions to discuss <br />improvements to the road that could be done. Staff held a neighborhood meeting with residents <br />on January 19, 2016 to discuss the project and potential costs to adjacent property owners. <br />The current proposal is to construct a permeable paver system (PaveDrain) with an angular stone <br />subgrade to provide stormwater treatment and storage capacity. The system would have an <br />underdrain that would be discharged to the lake. Attached is a draft plan showing the impacts of <br />the project as well as a photo of the PaveDrain system. <br />Recommended Action: <br />Receive a presentation on the South Lake Owasso Private Drive Project and consider support for <br />the project. <br />Attachments: <br />A: Project Area Map <br />B: Draft Plan Sheet <br />C: PaveDrain Photo <br />
